Employment Action Plan of the Prnjavor Municipality for the period 2018-2020 was adopted at the session of the Economic Council of the Prnjavor Municipality held on 24 April 2018. The Action Plan is the basic instrument of implementation of active employment policy and establishing an efficient system of labour market, defining priorities and objectives of the employment policy. There have been identified 17 active measures of employment to be implemented in the period 2018 – 2020.
The document contains the implementation plan (detailed for 2018), determining programmes, measures and projects to be implemented in the territory of the municipality in order to achieve the set objectives and sustainable increase of employment. The basis for determining the Action Plan is the Employment Strategy of the Republika Srpska for the period 2016 – 2020 and Development Strategy of the Prnjavor Municipality 2012-2020.
The Action Plan answers the questions how local community, within its possibilities and using potentials of all relevant partners in the labour market, can intervene and ensure that the unemployed acquire necessary employment conditions, and how to intervene systematically to mitigate the problem in the future.
Members of the Council are important stakeholders in the labour market of the municipality:
- Representatives of the vocational secondary school
- Representatives of the Employment Service,
- Representatives of the Department for the Local Economic Development and Social Activities of the municipality, and
- Representatives of local companies.
The Council acts as a working group within the Economic Council tasked to identify, initiate and monitor the implementation of employment measures in the territory of the municipality, and other activities important for harmonising supply and demand in the municipal labour market. The Council has been very active since October 2017 as a working group for developing the Employment Action Plan of the Prnjavor Municipality for the period 2018 – 2020, while the decision on the establishment of the Council will contribute to necessary sustainability of the Council after the adoption of the Action Plan.
