The Mayor Darko Tomaš has signed contracts with 10 young entrepreneurs today, who will receive BAM 6,000 or 4,000, as incentives for self-employment.
Helping young people with employment is a priority of the local community. Through the "Start up" entrepreneurship project, funds in the amount of BAM 50,000 have been planned in the city budget this year, which the beneficiaries will invest in starting their own businesses.
Mayor Tomaš congratulated the young entrepreneurs on their good ideas for starting their own business, and emphasized that the local community provides this kind of support to citizens for the third year in a row.
"This year, the largest amount was allocated from the city budget for the project. Originally, it was planned that the five best ranked would receive six thousand convertible marks each. However, we saw that a larger number of young people meet the requirements and have good business ideas, so we decided to add five more who will receive four thousand convertible marks each." said Tomaš.
He emphasizes that half of the planned amount will be paid out today, and the rest of the funds will be paid out in the second half of the year.
David Vujasinović plans to open a men's hair salon in Prnjavor by the end of the month. He says that the funds provided by the City will be of great help at the very beginning, but also in further work.
Anđela Ćućić is engaged in digital marketing and points out that she is happy that after working in agencies, she got the opportunity to independently do the work she loves.
The basic criteria for receiving incentives for self-employment are that the person applying is not over 35 years old, does not have a registered business and is on the records of the Employment Bureau.
