The construction of the dairy factory "Naša mljekara" has begun today in the Vijaka Business Zone. The project is worth around five million euros and involves 432 farmers from Nevesinje to Novi Grad.

The manager of the dairy factory, Miljan Erbez, explained that the value of the project at current prices, including all the materials and equipment that will be installed, is around 5 million euros, and that the planned production for the first cycle is 5,000 liters of milk per day.

"We would like to thank the City Administration of Prnjavor for its professionalism and attitude towards investors, and for the quick resolution of all submitted requests. I hope that this will be a good example for other municipalities." said Erbez.

Erbez also thanked the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, who supported them not only in that investment, but also through milk premiums and other types of support.

The President of the Association of Agricultural Producers - Dairies of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Arsenić, says that the start of work on the construction of the dairy factory in Prnjavor is a great success for all those involved in this production, but that it is also a great obligation.

The Mayor of Prnjavor, Darko Tomaš, says that Prnjavor is a good place to build a dairy factory because of the traffic connections, proximity to the highway, but also the fact that Prnjavor is the third local community in the Republic of Srpska in terms of milk production.

"Our agricultural producers produce 10 million liters of milk annually. We have been working intensively on this project for the past two or three years, and Prnjavor City Administration contributed with a plot in the Business Zone", said Tomaš and expressed his belief that the following months would witness the accelerated development of the dairy factory.

Tomaš thanked Minister Sava Minić, who was helping in solving all the problems in one of the most difficult industry branches, because the success depended on weather conditions, but also on all other parameters.

The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, said that the construction of a dairy factory in Prnjavor was an example of the protection of domestic production in the Republika Srpska.
